There's been a trend of small spaces like the Chippo and others (OAF Gallery, Waywards) charging crazy door fees like $25 for bands playing amongst their first batch of shows. Pleased to see in the last week or so things seem to have settled back to more sane levels - a $7 show is a fine amount to take a blind punt on a band. However, an act of faith like this is a two-way contract: it relies on you, good punter, to get yourself out and try checking out some bands you've never seen. So let's reward a low door fee with a great turnout! No idea who these bands are, just noticed the recent return to earth on door prices and figured I'd point it out.
