Everyone's favourite Japanese single snare drum enthusiast (if that description rings a bell - yes, that's him), supported by literal face shredder Granpa Abela (FKA Justice Yeldham) and Party Ov One, who describe their sound as "Yamaha Portasound thru pedals + heavy breathing" - all in the family-friendly setting of Sydney Park Pavilion, just upstairs from where the sausage sizzle is held during the kids footy games on the weekend. #drumsolo

Billed as "battery-powered and acoustic" and with "micro hifi". Curated by Danny Wild (aka Low Flung), and knowing this legend is behind the project gives me absolute certainty that this will be a sublime experience, especially as a chaser for the night before.

An absolutely massive all-day picnic ("fam, kid and dog friendly") featuring some of the original pioneers of 90s rave culture, 30 years on from their original Bob Moog birthday picnic celebration - Moog of course being the founder of the legendary synthesiser company that inspired a generation of electronic musicians. Brendan writes in with some of the connections this event represents: "featuring artists from 20th century events/labels such as Vibe Tribe, Punos, Frigid, Terse Tapes, Dual Plover, Zónar recordings, Natural Experience, Pete's Musicians Market, The Hordern Parties [!], early 90s underground raves & train tunnel parties, Reclaim The Streets... the list goes on…"
