Incredible lineup kicking off a packed series of events that is well worth a look. Check out Indonesian abstract two-piece Senyawa, who you might have previously heard on the Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack with American saxophone mutilator Colin Stetson - their latest album has a host of collaborators including the legendary Room40 honcho Lawrence English, alongside incredible Melbourne jazz drummer Joe Talia, and many others. Meanwhile Rinuwat is an explosive fusion of doom metal combined with Indonesian instrumentation - last year's album Dua Naga is a belter and their live show has been spoken of with reverence. Troth from Newcastle have only played in Sydney a couple of times - their mesmerising show blends found sounds, gentle ambience and otherworldly reverbed vocals.
