This is a HOT SITUATION. Shady Nasty have surreptitiously become one of Sydney’s best live bands - a dizzying amalgam of every genre in a blender. Not afraid to fuse abrasive hardcore with trap with extraordinarily delicate jazz sensibilities while finding pop smarts in the DNA of all the connecting tissue. The supporting cast of friends includes Nerdie of 1300 DJing. This week of gigs before Christmas just keeps intensifying. As Discord regular DJY says: “absolutely get amongst it if you haven't seen them this year, they're crushing it” and I couldn’t agree more.

Pleasures Playhouse - the repurposed abandoned cinema in the middle of Chinatown - is available for bookings until the end of the year and we're seeing all sorts of great events pop up in this classic space. The Soft Centre Unfurl program is incredible - take a look at the website to take in the full program of acts. This late-running selection of mind-bending electronic music with likely be a heady experience.

The final night of Pleasures Playhouse sees Mr. Experience take to the stage with two fellow purveyors of kitsch, the mighty Baby Beef and the enigmatic S. Miles. Sold out, of course.
